Where did everyone go?
Bucklers of Swash has moved to Bleeding Hollow, US (PvP).
We remain an Alliance guild. The population of Bleeding Hollow is roughly 54% Alliance. It is a high-population realm. The server is on Eastern Standard Time (US).
We won’t cover how this compares to Mug’Thol, it’s just sad.

When did this happen?
Character transfers started back at the beginning of September 2011. The guild itself was transfered the first week of November 2011. If you are unsure about transfering with us, we encourage everyone to roll a toon on Bleeding Hollow and feel it out. So far, no one has had any complaints. Generally speaking, everyone is enjoying being on a very active server again. If you roll a new character, ask anyone who’s online in Bucklers to see who can invite you. All Officers and Gunners have the ability to invite you. Please tell them your Mug’Thol main when you do so we can give you the same rank (and appropriate guild privileges).

If you have transfered a character that was previously in Bucklers of Swash on Mug’Thol, as long as you didn’t gquit before transfering, you should automatically be a member of Bucklers of Swash on Bleeding Hollow when you log in for the first time there. If you did gquit, please whisper for an invite as stated above.

Why the move?
We stuck it out long after the other old and/or large guilds left or broke apart, but in the end, Mug’Thol was simply not a viable server as Alliance. And now, Pandas and Pokemo…. err, pet battles, are coming! With Mists of Pandaria, city guards and sanctuary towns are going away. The Horde on Mug’Thol probably won’t even notice. However, being Alliance, we prefered to experience the new expansion on a realm where it is possible to complete the new content when it’s still new. So rather than allow our guild and its players to suffer miserably to the end that Blizzard has allowed to occur on Mug’Thol, we took the choice that remained to us, and moved on.

So are we still Bucklers of Swash?
YES! Bucklers of Swash as it previously existed on Mug'Thol, has moved to Bleeding Hollow. We remain . As designed by Blizzard, a shell guild also remains on Mug’Thol. If you have questions about that guild, please direct them to Lyndiana on either server.

What happens to Bucklers of Swash on Mug’Thol?
It is just a shell. A level 2 guild with no extended guild bank and no functioning leadership, and no guild perks. Each remaining member of the guild should have received an in-game mail from Blizzard when the guild transfer occurred, informing them of its departure and giving them information about how to follow their guild, if desired. Beyond that, if you still have questions, please see the FAQ by Blizzard (link posted at the top of this page) or direct them to Lyndiana.

Of note: DO NOT gquit on Mug’Thol before transfering if you wish to retain your membership and reputation with on Bleeding Hollow. As covered in the official information, you should simply initiate your character transfer, and you will automatically be in Bucklers of Swash once your character arrives on Bleeding Hollow. There should be no need for you to do anything more. However, should this not be working as intended, or if you had previously left Bucklers of Swash for any reason, simply whisper someone in Bucklers of Swash on Bleeding Hollow, as outlined above, and we will invite you.

Why Bleeding Hollow? And what’s it like?
Several people did quite a bit of research into possible destination servers. Bleeding Hollow won out, and it has proved to be a terrific server. With a reasonably balanced ratio of Horde:Alliance, world PvP is excellent. It is possible to do your dailies without a rez timer, while still encountering an epic battle if you desire. The queue times are good. There is an active economy with excellent availability of items on the auction house. There’s a real trade chat. There is a sizable contingent of players who run older content PuGs. There are even people in Ironforge, and duels outside of Stormwind. PuGs for Baradin Hold and raids up to and including full Firelands clears are plentiful, alts rejoice! In all respects, it is an excellent server for Bucklers of Swash to grow and thrive on well into the future.

We would like to express our appreciation to everyone we have enjoyed playing with on Mug’Thol through the years for all the good times, and to some of those we didn’t for the laughs at your expense. It’s been a lot of good memories. We want to emphasize that no matter when you eventually pass by here, we invite everyone who has been a member in good standing of Bucklers of Swash join us on Bleeding Hollow, either with characters you transfer or with new ones you make there. We continue to provide ample guild resources to support our members in every way.

More than the content, it’s been the people that we have enjoyed our time in Azeroth with for so many years, and we hope that all of you will continue to play with us, in whatever form that might take.
